Edge Transitions Programme
Edge Transitions Programme offers a full-time, specialist supported day programme for school leavers with ASN who need a more holistic, vocational approach to support their transition to adulthood.
Our mission is to motivate change, develop independence and support the transition to adulthood in a practical and supportive life-skills programme.
This is a 2 year full-time programme taking place Monday to Friday (35 hours per week) for 42 weeks each year.
The Impact of the Transitions Programme
Who is eligible?
All Edge Transitions Programme 2024 participants must;
Be an S6 2023 or 2024 school leaver
Have Additional Support Needs (ASN)
Be able to verbally communicate
Willingness to take part in outdoor activities
Be able to understand and follow safety instructions
Be able to attend to their own personal care
Have an appointed person who will communicate digitally with Edge Group Scotland’s Transitions Team
Be able to work in a group on a minimum 3:1 ratio
Be able to manage apps a communicate via mobile phone and iPad*
Involved in their own plan and want to plan their individual future
Be able to travel to and from Edge HQ in Musselburgh Monday - Friday
Eligible for funding through their local social work department
*iPads supplied by Edge
Applications for the Edge Transitions Programme can ONLY be accepted via a referral from your social worker.
