Jo has spent the last 8 years in schools working with children who have additional support needs, both in specialist and mainstream schools. Jo has also worked in the third sector with young people facing significant challenges in their lives.

Jo holds a variety of qualifications. A range of personal development experience and qualifications, a PDA in Education Support Assistance, and an HNC in Social Services... she has also been a qualified sailor.

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

I have two amazing children (almost teenagers), I think they are pretty awesome!

What are your credentials (experience) prior to working with Edge?

I love working with young people, prior to Edge I worked in the third sector with young people facing significant challenges in their lives engaged in outdoor personal development programmes. I have spent the last 8 years working in schools working with children who have additional support needs, both in specialist and mainstream schools.

Qualifications are a mixed bag, I have a range of personal development experience and qualifications, a PDA in Education Support Assistance, and an HNC in Social Services... they are expired now but I have also been a qualified sailor.

Favourite place in the world (the best place you’ve been)

There are too many places.... I love Thailand - the food is soooo good! Also love the west coast of Scotland, so many beautiful places to see!

What do you like about working for Edge?

Energy, fun, and commitment to young people

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working (hobbies etc)?

Hanging out with my hubby, kids and dog. Watching movies, cooking and going away in our camper van.

What makes you different to those you work beside (your niche)

I have the patience of a saint... apparently they are really patient
