April is World Autism Awareness Month and last week was World Autism Acceptance Week….it would be rude for TeamEdge not to get involved!
We want to help change attitudes, transform lives and create a society that works for autistic people. We also wanted to raise essential funds for The National Autistic Society, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

We’re an outdoorsy bunch and LOVE feeling the wind in our hair so wanted to get ourselves, and our clients, out and about and moving as much as possible. The National Autistic Society’s Super 60 Challenge was therefore right up our street. We set a goal of 60km to be achieved throughout the week: this 60km target was reached within the first day.
60km in ONE day was the biggest underestimation of the year so far. We quickly changed tact and upped our target to a whopping 600km – aim high, go big or go home, you get the gist. 600km is “roughly” the same distance between TeamEdge HQ in Musselburgh and Brighton!
So How Did We Do It?
TeamEdge (clients and staff) clocked up the kilometres through a variety of different activities, including but not limited to;
- 🚶 Walking
- 🏃 Running
- 🛶 Paddleboarding
- 🛹 Skating
- 🏊 Swimming
- ⛰️ Hillwalking
- 🏑 Hockey

We did it! TeamEdge is awesome. 604km was the final total and we are chuffed to bloomin’ bits, what an effort. Our very own, Katie also baked up a storm in the kitchen and made the most incredible cupcakes, they were of course taste-test-approved (delish!).

We wouldn’t have been able to complete such an epic feat without the support from all of our sponsors. We reached our £100 target and can’t thank them enough.
Autism Acceptance Week might have come to an end but our efforts to make sure autism is ACCEPTED by everyone will continue! Changing attitudes and views to create a society that works for everyone.
Thank you
TeamEdge
