With Able 2 Adventures. This is suitable for everyone from the complete novice, through to those that have been climbing before. There are a number of local crags, ranging from sea cliffs to road side crags.
If the weather makes the outdoor venues unsafe we can switch to an indoor venue.
There are specialist climbing harnesses, hoists and aids to ensure it is for all abilities.
Build your bushcraft skills with the gang from Primal Bushcraft, all in the spectacular forest surrounds of Badaguish.
Experienced guides will share with you the secrets of how people have survived outdoors in wild Scotland for hundreds of years- learn how to light fires and cook on an open flame, just like our ancient ancestors did.
Experience the adrenaline of going over the edge with Edge.
This will take place outdoors in Insh Forrest. With modern adaptive equipment you can take control of your descent - what an amazing challenge.
We provide helmets, harnesses and ropes. Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing, trainers and layers appropriate to the weather such as waterproofs.
You will be skiing (learning to ski) in your teams. One team will go out in the AM and one in the PM. The first day is all about meeting your instructors. DSUK will decide whether we ski on snow or on the dry slope, depending entirely on the Scottish weather.
The Cairngorm Mountain resort is located on Scotlands’ 6th highest mountain offering unforgettable snow sports and picturesque panoramic views.
Lessons: you will receive one lesson per day either in the morning or afternoon (depending on your team). Lessons will last approximately two hours and will be provided by DSUK Instructors. You will be working towards your "UK Snowlife Ski Award" certificate.
There are a limited number of snowboarding instructors, so if you would like to snowboard please highlight this at the time of booking with Edge Adventures.
Hairy coos and possibly red squirrels!
Join us for an inspiring outdoor adventure. Our quad bike treks follow a network of tracks and off-road trails through the magnificent ancient pine woodland and across the heather moorland of this traditional Highland estate with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Look out for the estate’s herd of long-horned Highland cows with the chance of seeing wild deer and other local wildlife along the way. The treks are led by experienced and fully trained professional guides who are happy to stop at particularly impressive viewpoints and indicate areas of special interest. There are plenty of photo opportunities – don’t forget to bring a camera!
There will be a 10.30am and a 1.30pm treks - you will be taken out in your group.
Our Highland Games offers a nod to Scottish culture in the form of a great bit of team fun. You’ll be split into two or more ‘clans’ which will then compete across four events.
Try your hand at the caber toss, remembering that it’s not all about distance, but also about the quality and accuracy of your toss in keeping the caber aligned and hopefully turning through 180 degrees. Support your team-mates as they hold the shot in hand and drive up from the legs to power it out to the furthest distance possible. And thirdly, it’s not quite an authentic Highland Games event, but it’s great fun nonetheless…..how far can you ‘wang’ the welly? Plus we’ll throw in a few little extra twists along the way to keep the humour levels high.
The event then finishes in the traditional way of all Highland Games with a tug-o-war to see which clan is the ultimate champion. We can guarantee that it’ll get everybody’s competitive juices flowing, and that there will be plenty of laughs along the way. Have fun and don’t take yourself and life too seriously, this is a great craic.
That's All Folks!
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.
